A C H M A R I O - S T I L L E

The label "ACHMARIO" is just a friendly sigh! I appreciate the quotations given here. Critically i am seeing, but also just as interested, the hype surrounding him. It is up to each to participate in a "darshan". Of interest is this video for me, because the relationship of guru and follower  m a n i f e s t s  itself so clearly.

Mario Mantese has apparently experienced what it means to be deprived of his physical body almost entirely and so to say has closely studied and experienced the "remains", what was left for him lying in a coma in a hospital. Is it pointless to ask whether the conclusions he draws from his own experience, have any common validity or relevance?

Mario Mantese :  - "Stille"-zitate / "silence"-quotes

Between the silence of the forest and the silence beyond the silence lies this fine liquid transition, where earthly silence turns into unearthly silence. Where the brute force of the world ends and infinite softness starts, all thoughts fade. There, before thinking and thoughts, is the home of the silence.

The awakening discoveres that his true being here began where he had ceased to exist. Deep peace comes up, when the thinking ego evaporates. There was never more than a unreal haze.

Never the sound of a sheet separating from a twig, broke the great silence. Immaculate silence keeps nature in deep peace (enveloped, wraped in peace). Flawless peace is the nature of teh Awakening. The Awakening listens (eavesdropping) to the depths of being, and is overwhelmed by the vast beauty of the wealth of the mind.

This boundless beauty does not know anyhing of its beauty, not anything of the light-filled loveliness that is inherent to the spirit, because within the Spirit there is neither a knowing nor something known.

The bright heart of the Awakening shows this through personal loveliness and beauty, without being aware of it, since it is free of contradiction!

Awareness of the consciousness "living" in the body exceeds the word "consciousness" toward what was before the body was born.

For MM - Master M - the cosmic body and the structure of the world are an expression of the incredible intelligence of the divine being that lives in us as a pricnciple of efficiency and creation.
It is the
universal beating heart of the whole nature.

Mario Mantese calls us to live as if we are in this world but not of this world, free from our dualistic stamped beeing. The goal: awareness of "EVERYTHING, which is" and the "non-being in being."

Manteses beautiful sentence: " Awareness of the consciousness "living" in the body exceeds the word "consciousness" toward what was before the body was born." separates very correctly the attention, the mindfulness of the body, with wich one can and pay attention "inwardly" to the body (see Sattipathana Sutta).  I gain some concentration fruits, namely the development of serenity, tranquility , etc. The contemplation of the body is indeed not an end in itself, but is merely an object of meditation, in order to discipline the mind and develop the ability to concentrate. When the spirit is disciplined, it can itsself become the center of interest. This is meant by "awareness of consciousness". Quoted in another post the remarks on the concept of Dzogchen Rigpa are consistently pointing to a supra-personal nature of the mind, called "mother-clear light", which is (naturally) present as the ground of the mind. The path of self-knowledge and self-awareness-becoming, which one has to walk personally, is "path-clear-light" and is called metaphorically as a descendant or child of that "mother". In the (metaphorical) unification of the two is completed the self-knowledge of the mind, with the elimination of subject and object, or by the falling-together-in-one of subject and object the cognitive activity disappears.

The conclusion that Mario Mantese draws, is, that he is behaving as a prophet from another world, animating his audience to "follow" him, while any serious Buddhist effort - sooner or later- confronts one directly with the fact that in the self-knowledge there is no other tool than you and (as the object of study ) your body and the activities of your mind and your practice and your very own everyday life. Not a guru, not a thick book, not a darshan, no sesshin, no Roshi, no Buddha statue takes it from you, troublesome to expose you, laboriously pushing forward yourself to the core.
